Nursing Student Placement and Nurse Mentoring

Our nursing team works directly with the Australian Primary Healthcare Nurses Association (APNA) to mentor and train General Practice nurses. Nurses should contact their University’s Placement Director for more information on placement. We have worked with students from various Melbourne based Universities. General Practice nurses new to practice who would like a mentor can apply through APNA’s Nursing in Primary Healthcare Transition to Practice Program. We are also happy to mentor nurses who are returning to practice and require completion of supervisory hours through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Nurses will be trained and mentored by our Practice Nurses, Melissa Zanlunghi, MSN, RN-Div 1 and Chantelle O’Neill, BSN, RN Div-1.
